Connie Kwan-Wong Charitable Foundation is excited to announce a rare and exciting evening of ballroom dance performances, featuring the most elite ballroom dance professionals in the world! For the first time ever, Latin ballroom dance superstars Riccardo and Yulia have agreed to travel to Houston to perform publicly for this significant charity event. 

This fabulous evening of ballroom dance performance will take place on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 6:30-9:30 pm. It will be a festival of ballroom dances, including tremendous performances by Houston’s finest professional and Profession-Amature ballroom couples, a mini Pro-Am competition judged by the audience, an incredible dance showcase by Riccardo and Yulia, and intermittent social dancing for attendees. Wine, drinks, a 3-course meal and a variety of delicious hors d'oeuvres will be served throughout the evening.

All profits raised from this event will benefit Children Defense’s Fund. The Children's Defense Fund (CDF) is a non-profit child advocacy organization that has worked relentlessly for over 35 years to ensure a level playing field for all children. They champion policies and programs that lift children out of poverty; protect them from abuse and neglect; and ensure their access to health care, quality education and a moral and spiritual foundation. Supported by foundation and corporate grants and individual donations, CDF advocates nationwide on behalf of children to ensure children are always a priority.

The Children’s Defense Fund Leave No Child Behind® mission is to ensure every child a Healthy Start, a Head Start, a Fair Start, a Safe Start and a Moral Start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities.

CDF provides a strong, effective and independent voice for all the children of America who cannot vote, lobby or speak for themselves. They pay particular attention to the needs of poor and minority children and those with disabilities. CDF educates the nation about the needs of children and encourages preventive investments before they get sick, drop out of school, get into trouble or suffer family breakdown.
